Learn more about the woman who wonTravis Kelce’s heart — literally — after beating 49 other contestants on his reality dating show,Catching Kelce.

The women competed on the variety show for a chance to lock him down (another football pun) and in the end, the football star chose Maya Benberry. The two dated for several months afterwards.
In the years since, both Kelce and Benberry have commented about their time on the show, with the football player noting the process was “extremely awkward” as he “didn’t have much to say about what we were doing on the show.”
“It was definitely a learning experience,” Kelce said during an episode ofThe Pivot Podcast.

She’s from Kentucky

Benberry is a Capricorn who was born on Dec. 27, 1991, making her two years younger than Kelce, who was born on Oct. 5, 1989.

Ahead of the show’s finale, Kelce discussed the winner (without naming Benberry specifically) withE! News, calling her an “absolutely wonderful girl … I wouldn’t have picked her if I didn’t feel a certain way about her."
However, he noted that he wasn’t in any rush to get engaged or married.
“I have always been the ‘just let it roll’ [kind of guy] and take advantage of the opportunities when they come about. I’ve always been a very success-driven person too, so I’m very focused on trying to get my career somewhere," he said. “That and I’m still getting to know her — and to be honest marriage is a huge step, that it takes a while to get to know you’re ready for.”
Later that year, Benberry discussed her experience dating Kelce after the show, ina Q&A on her YouTube channelin December 2016. In addition to talking about the struggles of being on a reality show, she also explained that Kelce was her first interracial relationship, which came with its own challenges.
