Travis BarkerandKourtney Kardashianare just friends.
Shortly before opening the2019 iHeartRadio Music Awardson Thursday withHalseyand Yungblud, the 43-year-old drummer told PEOPLE that despite the rumors, he’s not dating theKeeping Up with the Kardashiansstar, 39.
“Kourtney’s like a dear friend. That’s it,” he told PEOPLE at the awards show, making it clear that while he does have a deep affection for the reality star, as well as her whole family, their relationship is strictly platonic.
“I mean, I love her to death. I love her family to death. But yeah, just friends,” he shared.

Opening up about the family outing, Barker told PEOPLE “they’re very excited about the red carpet.”
“I’m kind of like a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy but to see my girls get all dolled up and my son, you know, wore everything out of my suitcase,” he said. “It’s pretty funny. It’s cool.”
Barker went on to share that since he had his children at a young age, he has a lot in common with them.
“We share a lot of the same musical taste. We like a lot of the same artists. We have so much in common,” he said, adding that at this stage, fatherhood is “really easy.”

In addition to being close pals, Barker and Kardashian have lived in the same neighborhood for years and are frequently spotted stepping out together.
Most recently, the pair were seengrabbing dinnerwith their children at Nobu Malibu last month, according to E!.
Kardashian shares three children sons Mason, 9, andReign, 4, as well as daughterPenelope, 6, with ex-boyfriendScott Disick.

The mother of three has alsosparked romance rumorswith David Dee Duron, after the pair were seen having dinner together in January, although one source previously told PEOPLE it wasn’t romantic.
The pair know each other from Vous church, which is based in Miami and connected to Hillsong, the church Kardashian regularly attends in Los Angeles.
Another source added that while their relationship is platonic for now, there’s potential for something more down the line.
“They could turn into something in the future, but it hasn’t happened yet,” the insider said. “They’re just talking and spending a little bit of time together. This isn’t a big romance, but I’d say there’s some mutual interest there. There’s potential. So who knows?”
