Rumors about a reunionfirst started popping up in January 2018, after the Jonas Brothers’ dedicatedInstagram accountwas reactivated following almost five years of silence. Over a year later, though, the account had yet to post any new images or clips — but that all changed Thursday.

Amping up the speculation, Ryan Liestman, the band’s former backing musician, went on to post a photo with the three brothers that month, writing in the caption, “Family Reunion.”

However, at the time Nick went on to deny that there was any kind of reunion in the immediate works.

“We hung out for a weekend all together and I guess our Instagram was restarted,” Nick toldRyan Seacreston the E! News red carpet special ahead of the2018 Grammy Awards. “Right now there’s no reunion planned. But never say never — you never know what’s going to happen.”
