The Jacksonville-based school board approved the changes last week after a year of debate that “included dozens of meetings and tremendous engagement,” they said in astatement. “The level of community engagement in this process was unlike anything we have ever experienced,” School Board Chairwoman Elizabeth Andersen said....

Reyes, who had played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Premier League team Arsenal, was in a car traveling on a road in his hometown of Utrera, near Seville, when it crashed just before noon on Saturday. Stevens passed away “peacefully” at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the statement said. His daughters, Elizabeth Jane Sesemann and Susan Roberta Mullen, were with him when he died. Born in Chicago in 1920, Stevens served in the Navy during World War II before practicing law. He was appointed to the Supreme Court after the Watergate Scandal rocked Washington and was known for both his soft-spoken manner and his intelligence....
