Fashion always trumps function when it comes toOlivia Munn’s red carpet glam.
Before arriving at the 2024Oscars, theX-Men: Apocalypseactress, 43, teased a bit of her andJohn Mulaney’s attire. The two looked exceptionally glam in their custom looks, which coordinated in all aspects, except for one: practicality.
In ahilarious Instagram videofilmed in the backseat of a car before the event, Munn joked she was wearing a “standing up dress.” It appeared that her gown’s column silhouette inhibited its wearer from sitting — and we only wish her the best of luck for when she’s inside the ceremony!
Her chrome design, styled with Jimmy Choo shoes, also featured a knotted asymmetrical halter-neckline and floor-sweeping cape.
The clip then cuts to Mulaney, 41, comfortably seated in his sensible all-black bow tuxedo, which granted him ease, but the blasé title of “sitting down guy.”

Munn’s no stranger to a style-related blunder, but shealwayskeep its real. Back in December, she modeled a sparkly sequin minidress for her followers. But, while walking away from the camera, it became clear that her dress didn’t quite fit, as the back wasn’t fully zipped closed.
“Look at this dumb bitch,” she captionedthe post.
Thankfully, her fashionablered carpet debutwith Mulaney at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 14th Governors Awards on Jan. 9 was smooth-sailing.
Munn put her beauty on full display in a metallic strapless design teamed with silver jewelry. Her hair was parted in the middle, much like her Oscars glam, and drew attention to her rosy cheeks and dark red lip. Mulaney wore another classic tux topped with a bow tie.

The couplefirst sparked dating rumorsin May 2021, shortly after Mulaney ended his relationship with his wife of six years,Anna Marie Tendler. The two were photographed together for the first time in June 2021, though they kept many details about their romance under wraps.
In November 2021, the welcomed their son,Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney, now 2. Munn has shared glimpses of life with their toddler on Instagram with sweet photos of their family hangouts. She recently shared a snapshot of her and Malcolmenjoying a day at the beachin seaside ‘fits complete with shades.
