The day is finally here , NASA ’s Mars 2020 mission is a go for launch , and here ’s how you may watch it .

The mission to the Red Planet will hook off atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station today ( July 30 ) within a two - hour window that open at 7.50am ET ( 12.50pm BST ) .
