Mark-Paul Gosselaaris revealing his children’s honest feelings on his hit ’90s sitcom.

“The older ones watched it, [and] you know, they were not impressed,” he told hostKelly Clarkson, 42. “And, then my younger ones I think they watched a little bit and then they were like, ‘What else is out there?’ And so they are watching all the other Nickelodeon shows or the news stuff that’s out there.”

For Gosselaar, family has always been a priority in his life. The actor opened up abouthis daily lifeon the Tuesday, Jan. 21 episode ofThe Jennifer Hudson Show, sharing that he isn’t used to all the fanfare of being a celebrity. He added that he’s often kept busy with his wife and four kids.

“I always say this: ‘I’m a husband first, a father second [and an] actor third,’ ” Gosselaar told hostJennifer Hudson. “So, my day revolves around making sure my wife is good. Making sure the kids are good, and then I go to work for a little bit and then I come back.”

“But it’s all about kids' sports and just being dad, you know?” he added, explaining his daily routine.

While speaking to PEOPLE in 2020, Gosselaar shared howhe and McGinn are documenting the funny and sweet moments of parenting.

“The minute Dekker sat up and Michael goes to bed without a night light [and] Ava loses her tooth — there’s literally milestones every single day with children,” he said. “We write it down in a journal every once in a while. Anytime the kids say a funny quote, we write it down … and then we read them out loud. It just shows how the time progressed.”
