Wait , sorry , that ’s thewrong moving-picture show franchise . But there ’s no doubt about it — Hot Toys ’ takeon The Force Awakens ’ shiny fresh Stormtrooper Captain is quite literally rather blinding .
Somehow , we ’re in calendar month two of the Force Awakens product extravaganza , and yet this is the first Captain Phasma miniature I ’ve see that really double her stunningly silver armor with metal paint — and just how much of a difference of opinion that really make in turn a serious Phasma digit into a truly great one .
I intend , just look at her . You almost want to put her on a bleached light stand and turn her into the First Order ’s fine disco ball . For even such a relatively plain figure , Phasma is packed with some wonderful detailing , from wear on her cloth cape to the mule marks on her helmet .
Captain Phasma was already a spectacular design in the first place , and we ’ve had some rightfully lovely toys that stand for that design over the preceding few months . But Hot Toys , as they do with most things , has really knock it out of the parking lot here . There ’s some snapshot where you forget that it ’s an action fig , and not Gwendoline Christie amaze for a photoshoot .
The 33cm - magniloquent Phasma does n’t come with many accessories — she has her every bit shiny chargeman rifle and and many alternate workforce with which to moderate it and pose with it — but honestly , she does n’t really require much more than that to look mythological . Maybe , if your wallet allows it , a couple of Stormtroopers to flank her . That ’s all you call for .
Captain Phasma will be in the middle of next year , and will be uncommitted for purchase soon onSideshow Collectables ’ webstore . There ’s no price expose just yet , but expect the usual Hot Toys price of around $ 200 - 225 .
