In a recent interview withEntertainment Weekly , Martinadmittedthat he has " mixed feeling " about it all .
" It ’s been an unbelievable ride , " the authorsaid . " And almost all of it has been great . Obviously , I wish well I finished these Book sooner so the show had n’t gotten forward of me . I never anticipated that . "
The reason the television show ’s narrative has gone out front of Martin is because he has been wreak onThe Winds of Winter , the sixth book in the serial publication , for the past eight years — and it still does n’t have a dismissal date in survey .
