Whitaker , a nature partizan , used his footage of the beautiful Oregon coastline as source material , before mutate it into the surreal and haunting scenes above . Whitaker ’s script — compose inProcessing , an open author scheduling language geared for the optic arts — takes a upright slice of a television frame , stacks it horizontally , and then takes another vertical slice from the next material body . The result is footage that is stretch across both time and blank . “ I wish to cogitate that this is what you might see if you look at our world from a spot in the fourth dimension , ” Whitaker explains .
“ As the video advances , the spot we are control moves through outer space . ” he notes . “ Normally as a telecasting progress we move through time , so we ’ve sort of swapped the two . ” I ’m not trusted how many time I ’ll be able to follow his telecasting before all gross out out , but it sure is pretty .
