The episode starts with Ray tell apart Nora how , now that they ’re marital ( which just happened in the old instalment ) , he ’s ready to go out the ship so they can start a new life together ( something Nora ’s father , Damien , heavily insisted upon ) . After all , Nora ca n’t on the nose be a fairy godmother if she ’s bound around through space and meter . Everyone learn the news pretty well , only there ’s one problem : Ray ca n’t convey himself to differentiate his best admirer Nate ( Nick Zano ) .

Their final scene was a testament to Legends’ability to desegregate comedy and heartin a fashion few shows can . It ’s not often we see films or TV shows that are comfortable depict loving friendships between men , at least not without those eldritch one - armed “ bro hugs . ” But Ray and Nate ’s affinity — which grew organically over the grade of several seasons — was practically bursting . The two of them cry , held each other , and told each other “ I lie with you . ” It was a beautiful second for the characters , and you could experience how much Routh and Zano meant what they were share vicariously through them .

That said , while this was completely unplanned because there was no way of have it off what diabolic situation we ’d be in right now , it was really strong to see this aspect .
