Juan Antonio Bayona , director of The Impossible and the 2007 horror polish off The Orphanage , has signed on to direct Warner Bros. ’ untitled new sci - fi motion-picture show . Details are scarce , other than it ’ll be written by Eric Roth , who write the scripts for Forrest Gump and super Loud and Incredibly Close , and produced by Kevin McCormick , who did The Gangster Squad and The Lucky One . Rumor has it the picture show will actually be lay in infinite , which happens rarely enough we ’re already aroused for the picture show , although naming the passing gifted Bayona as director helps .
